Sometimes, words don’t work. So here are some pics from vacation. They’re in two parts: The first from Kentucky Lake, where we spent most of our time; the second from Patti’s 1880s Settlement, a weird funpark nearby. With a visit to Paducah in the middle.

Lewis raises the roof on the way.

Lewis gets crunk on the way into town.

I confessed my sins — then headed straight to the petting zoo.

Back at the chapel, I confess my sins. Then it’s off to get sno-cones and check out the petting zoo! But then I saw a massive monument… a grave? No, but a headstone, yes—and memorializing people who, apparently, have yet to become deceased!

Every fun park also needs a gravestone. For people who apparently aren’t yet dead.
