March Madness, baby!

So yeah, I’m one of those guys who doesn’t like basketball until mid-March. But watching poor little Georgia defy all logic and run through the SEC tournament got my hoops blood going, and working for a newspaper that’s WKU Central is also nice, since they’ve made it to the big dance for the first time in years.

The fact remains, however, that I don’t know a thing about college basketball. I do, however, know how to watch Sportscenter and listen to Fox Sports Radio. With the information I have gleaned through very piecemeal watching/listening, here is my official bracket. I’ll post updates as we go along, and keep score as to how I’m doing. Any other ballers should feel free — no, obliged — to comment. Tell me where I’m making boneheaded mistakes and where I’ve show glimpses of bracketological genius.

So, without further adieu, here it is:

The science of bracketology is now over. There is some science to projecting who gets into the tourney, but picking winners is slippery business. Your bracket is as valid as anyone else’s.

But, your gutty Georgia Bulldogs just fell to Xavier after leading much of the game. And, I just lost one of my upset teams in Temple.
